Highest & Best Use

Michael Jewell, Director and Principal Planner, is regularly called upon as a town planning expert in the Land Court.  In particular, he provides expert advice on the highest and best use of land at the date of resumption and the level of risk associated with obtaining an approval over the land, having regard to the Planning Scheme, relevant Planning Policies and any other relevant matters.

The required Joint Town Planning Report addresses the town planning issues that arise with respect to a claim for compensation, more commonly as a result of State government road or Mackay Regional Council infrastructure resumptions.
